Based on the popular Bottle Can Inspector (BCI-1000), the simple and easy-to-use Monobloc Can Inspection Station uses precision optics and high-resolution cameras to take all measurements automatically, eliminating operator error.
At the touch of a button, the MCI-1000 measures Diameter 1 (A), Curl Outer Diameter (B), Curl Inner Diameter (C), Diameter 2 (D), Contact Height (E), Can Height (F) and Curl Height (G). Additional characteristics may be programmed upon request.

Measurement results are shown on the color display. Results are also available for data transfer either directly into Visionary QCTM or other plant wide data acquisition software. The Monobloc Can Inspection Gauge may also be used as a stand-alone measurement tool.
METPACK 2014 Review
Essen, Germany - Metpack 2014, hosted by Messe Essen, is known as the world's premier fair for metal packaging.
Metpack provides a platform for high-quality interactions, allowing CMC-KUHNKE to maintain partnerships and generate new interest in their products. Exhibiting this year proved to be a great success, as the company closed a record amount of business at the show.
The SEAMscan XTS, CMC-KUHNKE's revolutionary non-destructive double seam inspection system, took center stage in the booth. For the first time publicly, CMC-KUHNKE demonstrated the ability of the XTS to measure composite steel and aluminum beverage cans. Companies from around the globe came specifically to CMC-KUHNKE's booth to see the patented X-ray double seam inspection method in action.
Another popular attraction at the booth was the new MARS-EMS-1050. This Fully Automatic Shell Measurement system measures Countersink Depth, Curl Diameter, Curl Height, Curl Opening, and Panel Depth for quality Beverage Endmaking. The fully re- designed MARS-EMS-1050 can be loaded with up to 80 beverage shells, while pneumatically and electronically controlled sensors automatically measure 10 locations per end.
In addition to new products displayed at booth, live video demonstrations were available to customers to connect with technicians in CMC-KUHNKE's Berlin office, allowing greater access to their extensive product line.
