This tester serves for the measurement of the resetting - ability of seamed ends of empty 3-piece cans that are closed on both sides under increasing inner pressure and after relaxation. The measurement procedure is performed fully automatic by the electronics.
After the measurement is started, a needle pinches into the can from below and blows it up in programmable steps, e.g. 0.10 bar, during this measuring the bulging of the lid under pressure and the remaining deformation of it after the pressure has been suspended. The speed of pressure-increase may be set by the user. The individual values for pressure, bulging (under pressure) and remaining deformation (after pressure is suspended) are stored within the unit and may be transmitted to a computer or be requested by a computer through a special software that is available as accessory part.
The can holder is designed for cans of 60 - 100 mm in diameter and heights of up to 140 mm. Custom – made models up to dia. 153 mm are possible. When ordering please state the diameters, because change rings have to be manufactured for each diameter seperately.
Determination of the pressure causing a non-returning deformation of the end which is just below the upper seam rim.
