The Pop and Push Tester has been developed for testing the force required for consumers to pop and push open Beverage Can Ends with Stay-On-Tops. Simply hook up a beverage can end, and press the measure button. The operator independent Stay-On-Top testing process is microprocessor controlled for perfectly smooth movement, and maximum accuracy.
During measurement the microchip compares the preprogrammed hysteresis values with the current force and determines automatically the pop strength, tear strength and the angle at which both forces have been found. The tab strength may also be determined.
Depending on the holder, ends of various diameters can be tested. Within seconds the holder can be changed for ends of varying diameter.
The Beverage End Pop & Push Tester is recommended for use with Display IV Software, or may be used with other data acquisition software.
When used without the Display IV Software, Easy-Open Beverage End test results may be sent to a computer database, or printed to a serial printer.
