DWI Monoblock Aerosol Can-making
The DWI starts with making a cup (blank and draw), mostly in multi die presses from coil. The base material can be single reduced ETP or Aluminum. The DWI process was designed for cans with internal pressure only, such as cosmetics or pharmaceuticals. For structural reasons, the wall thickness at the top of the can is thicker than the mid-wall area.
Aerosol Can End-making (Tops and Bottoms)
Aerosol tops and bottoms may be the most challenging to make and to measure. The aerosol cans have to stand up to high pressures. The material is thicker and thus more difficult to form. The material used to make can ends can be the same as that used for the can body. The coating is mostly the same as that of the can body, as it has to stand up to the same requirements.
