This tester for seamed beverage can ends measures the pressure at which the ends buckles. The empty closed can (standard 211 body) is put in a special holder. After the door is closed, the can is punctured and pressure is applied internally. Air rapidly fills the can until the pressure is at a level just under the expected buckle value, which can be freely set by the operator.

CMC-KUHNKE's popular line of buckle testers has been adapted to work with DRD and D&I 2-piece food cans, as well as beverage cans. The buckle tester comes with the option of Growth Measurement to measure the deflection of the bottom of the can.

The EBT-1000 allows for the testing of the Burst Pressure of seamed easy open ends. The seamed can is placed inside the safety chamber. After the door is closed, the can is punctured and pressure is applied internally. Air rapidly fills the can until the pressure is at a level just under the expected burst value, which can be freely set by the operator. The precise burst point of the end is automatically recorded by the tester.

Clamp two Easy Open Ends into the tester and rotate the carriage. The ends are sealed in the compound area and pressure is applied. Tiny air bubbles in the water bath show exactly where the end is leaking.
